Job summary

Ontic is seeking an experienced full‑stack engineer to design, build, and ship features spanning frontend and backend. You will own end-to-end delivery, mentor teammates, and drive architectural decisions in an agile setting.

You will collaborate with Product managers, designers, and engineers, ensure performance and security, and contribute to scalable platform initiatives. The role is based in Austin with hybrid work and FedRAMP considerations; US-work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 4-6 years of hands-on software engineering experience with backend and frontend technologies
• Strong algorithmic and problem-solving ability
• Working knowledge of system design and common architectural patterns
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), and DevOps workflows

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable full stack features and services across backend and frontend
• Lead technical design discussions for medium-to-large features and drive architectural decisions
• Collaborate with Product, Designers, and Engineers in an agile environment to scope, plan, and deliver work
• Conduct code reviews and uphold high standards for performant, maintainable code
• Mentor associate and mid-level engineers on best practices and growth
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability, and security concerns
• Own features end-to-end from design through deployment and operations
• Identify and prioritize technical debt to support long-term maintainability
