Job summary

Bitwarden is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the DIRT team to build and scale reports, dashboards, and integrations over vault data. You will work across the stack, combining front-end craftsmanship with backend API and data work to deliver meaningful insights while maintaining zero-knowledge, end-to-end encryption.

As part of an all-remote U.S. team, you will collaborate with an open-source community, emphasizing security and visibility for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with .NET Core and C# for backend services.
• Strong proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS for front-end development.
• Deep understanding of relational database design, optimization, and SQL Server.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement RESTful APIs.
• Experience building features for enterprise customers where auditability, permissions, and compliance matter.
• Collaborative and adaptable mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Excitement and enthusiasm for open source and for better internet security.
• Excellent problem-solving skills – you might not know all the answers, but you know how to find and communicate the solution.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively to build and maintain features across Access Intelligence, event integrations, the browser extension's phishing blocker, our shared Rust core library, and the Bitwarden Splunk app.
• Take ownership of your work, partnering with QA to ensure that the appropriate parts of the application are tested and that tests are complete.
• Design and evolve APIs, data models, and encrypted report structures that hold up to real enterprise-scale data.
• Review PRs and provide constructive, pointed feedback to help fellow team members grow.
• Collaborate with the Bitwarden open-source community to review community contributions and address issues in GitHub.
