Job summary

Natera is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications supporting Natera Operations for genetic lab tests. You will work with operations teams to optimize workflows and build next‑gen ops tools.

Requirements include a BS in CS (MS preferred) and 5+ years of software development, with experience in Java, Spring, REST, and relational databases. Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React/Angular) is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer science or equivalent; MS preferred.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with Java and Spring Frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with web services (REST) and relational databases.
• Frontend web programming experience with modern JS frameworks (React/Angular) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering to make design and implementation decisions.
• Define requirements with stakeholders and build reliable operations-focused applications.
• Design, build, and maintain sustainable full-stack applications.
• Improve development processes and promote best practices.
• Handle PHI data securely; complete HIPAA/PHI training within 30 days.
