Job summary

Natera is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications and services that support genetic lab test information processing. You will collaborate with operational teams to optimize workflows and build the next generation of ops tools.

The role emphasizes delivering reliable software across the stack using Java, REST services, databases, and cloud infrastructure while upholding HIPAA/PHI requirements in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer science or equivalent; MS preferred.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring Frameworks and Hibernate.
• Experience with REST services and relational databases.
• Front-end experience with modern JavaScript frameworks is a plus.
• Strong teamwork, analytical skills, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Work with an engineering team to make key design and technical implementation decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into reliable operations-friendly applications.
• Design, build, and maintain sustainable applications.
• Improve development processes and promote best practices.
• Handle PHI/ HIPAA training and security requirements as part of the role.
• Pass post-offer background check and maintain training status.
