Job summary

Alkami is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for its remote US team. The role focuses on building scalable backend and frontend features (roughly 60% backend / 40% frontend) and participating in design reviews, on-call support, and architectural discussions.

You will work with Kotlin/Java, Vue.js, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native technologies. Ideal candidates have strong experience in modern JavaScript frameworks, Kafka, AWS, and Kubernetes, plus SQL/NoSQL databases and monitoring with

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience in software development or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in an object oriented language such as Kotlin or Java with full stack experience.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks; Vue.js preferred, plus React/Angular/Tailwind CSS.

Responsibilities

• Participate in code/design reviews for smooth operations and planning.
• Own the full application lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and Kafka streams.
• Collaborate across teams and mentor junior engineers; on-call rotations.
• Champion API-first approach and ensure scalable, secure services.
