Job summary

Statellite, LLC is seeking a senior frontend/backend engineer to own features from spec to shipped, focusing on TypeScript and a strongly typed backend. You will ship Next.js 16 UI for coach and athlete products, design API surfaces, and collaborate with design on realistic interaction specs.

This remote-first role emphasizes measurable observability, logs, traces, and SLOs, with quarterly onsite weeks in South Carolina. Equity is offered along with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of production experience with TypeScript and a typed backend.
• Experience with Postgres schema design, queries, and migrations on live systems.
• Experience owning features from spec to shipped with observability and rollback plans.
• A bias for readable, boring systems over abstract frameworks.
• Strong written communication (RFCs, release notes).

Responsibilities

• Ship user-facing features in Next.js 16 across the coach and athlete products.
• Design the API surface and data model behind new workflows, end-to-end.
• Partner with design on interaction specs and acceptance criteria.
• Instrument what you ship with logs, traces, and SLOs before release.
• Mentor engineers on code review, testing strategy, and pragmatic refactoring.
