Job summary

Virtualitics is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to own the frontend platform, including the shared app shell, component library, hooks, and typed API client. You’ll design APIs, manage auth and theming, and keep dashboards fast, accessible, and secure for defense networks.

You will work with backend, AI, and DevSecOps teams to ship to government customers, with a modern React/TypeScript stack and a focus on performance and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building production web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Experience owning a shared component library or frontend platform.
• Strong knowledge of modern React (Hooks, Suspense, server-state libraries).
• Experience shipping data-dense UIs and design systems.
• Clear written communication and documentation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve shared frontend packages (app shell, component library, hooks, API client).
• Design reusable, config-driven components for government data-heavy apps.
• Define frontend testing strategy and end-to-end coverage.
• Ensure frontend performance, bundle discipline, and secure coding practices.
• Shape design-system direction and theming at scale.
• Collaborate with backend, AI, and DevSecOps engineers on API and security.
• Mentor engineers and raise frontend standards across the company.
• Plan migration of existing product frontend to the new platform.
