Job summary

Playbook, a remote-first creator platform for fitness, health, and wellness, seeks a Senior Product Engineer (TypeScript). You will build user-facing features across ReactJS frontend, Node.js backend, and React Native mobile apps.

We are looking for a T-shaped engineer: deep senior expertise in one area, proficiency in others, and a collaborative mindset to ship across the stack in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with TypeScript as primary language.
• Proven experience shipping production applications end-to-end and owning features from design through release.
• Active daily use of AI coding assistants for development, debugging, and problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills in English for remote, asynchronous collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features across Node.js, ReactJS, and React Native, shaping APIs and GraphQL contracts.
• Contribute across the web app, backend, and mobile app while deepening expertise in one area.
• Build and evolve backend services and APIs (REST and GraphQL) for reliability and maintainability.
• Translate requirements with Product Managers and Designers into practical technical solutions.
• Contribute to ERDs defining data models, API contracts, and integration points.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in reviews to uphold quality standards.
• Own the features you build and iterate based on feedback in a fast-moving startup.
