Job summary

Royper Royco LLC is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (Full Stack) based in the United States. You will help build scalable infrastructure powering real-time voice and messaging experiences, owning frontend and backend components in a remote-first team.

The role emphasizes architectural leadership, production ownership, mentoring, and collaboration with product and QA to deliver robust software. AI-assisted tools will be integrated to accelerate development while ensuring quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including ownership of production systems.
• Deep experience building and maintaining server-side applications in Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
• Strong SDLC and DevOps practices with track record of improving engineering processes.
• Solid knowledge of backend API systems, including RESTful APIs, JSON, HTTP, and microservices.
• Comfortable working with Git-based workflows, debugging across the stack, and shell scripting.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute within a collaborative remote team.
• Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Current authorization to work in the United States and residence within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack platform capabilities from design to production with quality and reliability.
• Design, build, and maintain frontend and backend API services.
• Own features through lifecycle including design, release, production support, and incident response.
• Lead architecture discussions and pragmatic technical decisions balancing speed and reliability.
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools into workflows while ensuring correctness.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
• Collaborate with product owners and QA to scope and deliver performant software.
• Improve deployment pipelines, tooling, monitoring, and debugging capabilities.
• Promote testing practices including unit and integration tests.
• Participate in on-call rotations and postmortems.
