Job summary

Postscript, the AI-driven messaging platform, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own major systems end-to-end. You’ll shape architecture for scalable REST APIs and backend services, emphasizing AI-first development and autonomous agent workflows.

You’ll work across product, data, and GTM teams in an async-first environment, driving technical quality and modernizing systems while maintaining speed and pragmatism. This is a fully remote role based in the US or Canada.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building large-scale backend systems and APIs.
• Active daily user of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or equivalents).
• Proficient in Python, Go, React and TypeScript; familiar with Kubernetes, AWS, Datadog, and relational/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Take deep ownership of systems and product areas on your team.
• Independently design and execute solutions across distributed systems with ambiguity.
• Architect, build, and maintain highly available, scalable REST APIs and backend services.
