Job summary

Royper Royco LLC is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the core engineering team building a data activation platform. You will optimize distributed systems, scale real-time data syncing, and own multi-region infrastructure.

You will design and operate backend services, implement streaming data pipelines, and collaborate with customers on scaling challenges. Visa sponsorship is available for this remote role in the United States.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems and backend engineering.
• Experience building complex backend systems and scaling through growth.
• Background creating event collection or data streaming services, and experience with queues, Kafka, SQL databases, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Strong systems design fundamentals and familiarity with Spark, Flink, or Kafka.
• Experience building scalable data sync systems that move large data volumes.
• Strong communication, sound technical judgment, and quick learning ability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize end-to-end data sync pipelines for speed.
• Design systems for real-time and streaming data sources, including queues and webhooks.
• Identify bottlenecks and architect scalable solutions for growth.
• Build and improve low-latency caching for real-time personalization.
• Operate multi-region, multi-cloud infrastructure with data residency support.
• Own projects from design to delivery and collaborate with customers on scaling challenges.
