Job summary

Encore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who loves building products, solving problems, and creating clarity in complex systems.

You’ll work directly with the CTO and a small, collaborative team to design, build, and evolve software used by financial advisors every day. This role combines hands‑on development with technical leadership, product ownership, and continuous improvement of our engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in a startup, small-team, or entrepreneurial environment where ownership and initiative are expected.
• Experience shipping and maintaining production software.
• Owned meaningful features, systems, or technical initiatives end-to-end.
• Comfortable solving ambiguous problems and creating clarity.

Responsibilities

• Build features end-to-end, from concept through production.
• Lead through ownership and drive technical decisions.
• Move fast with AI to accelerate coding, testing, and prototyping.
• Own outcomes by understanding customer needs and delivering measurable impact.
• Raise the bar by mentoring teammates and sharing knowledge.
