Job summary

Deque Systems Inc is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to contribute across the Axe Monitor product and component libraries. Front end is primarily TypeScript and ReactJS; backend uses Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.

You will be the anchor during US Eastern hours, driving backend architecture, and investigating production issues when overseas teammates are offline. We are AI-first and expect you to use AI to assist coding while maintaining rigorous reviews for security, logic, and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience with backend depth in Java and relational databases.
• Frontend experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and ReactJS.
• Experience building scalable services and data pipelines.
• Active GitHub profile with inspectable code (Java samples preferred).
• Foundational knowledge of WCAG accessibility and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• US Eastern Anchor: take ownership of investigating and resolving production issues during US Eastern business hours.
• Backend Core: build high-volume services using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and SQL.
• Frontend Components: maintain and build accessible UI with TypeScript, Node.js, ReactJS.
• Critical AI Engineering: use AI tools to accelerate delivery while reviewing AI-generated code for security and correctness.
• Production Troubleshooting: trace code and query databases to resolve live issues independently.
