Job summary

Perry Weather is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to deeply understand our weather safety platform, including hardware sensors and software data models, and to guide customers through their most challenging situations.

You will diagnose issues with telemetry, runbooks, and BI dashboards, providing calm, clear explanations and actionable resolutions from the front line in Dallas.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supporting a technical, complex product where you owned the resolution.
• Hands‑on experience with electronics, installs, or tinkering.
• Ability to read account configurations, event logs, and audit trails to reconstruct what happened.

Responsibilities

• Master the hardware and the software, becoming fluent with devices and firmware, and the data model.
• Own issues from first contact through resolution across email, phone, and chat.
• Troubleshoot live and clearly with customers in challenging conditions.
• Diagnose with data using Grafana, BI tools, and Zendesk analytics to gauge fleet health.
• Escalate with full context so hardware or engineering can fix it, then stay on it.
• Write playbooks and help articles to prevent repeated issues and improve docs.
• Automate repetitive tasks to reduce contact rates and improve customer experience.
