Qualifications

• 7+ years building and operating production web applications with impact.
• Ability to lead complex projects across frontend and backend.
• Strong experience with a modern frontend framework such as React and a typed language such as TypeScript.
• Backend experience designing or operating APIs, services, data stores, or asynchronous systems.
• Experience with languages such as Go, Python, Rust or equivalents (Most teams use Go).
• Sound judgment across architecture, user experience, performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Strong product instincts and ability to connect technical decisions to outcomes.
• Ability to create alignment with engineers and cross-functional partners.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving team practices.
• Ownership for the full lifecycle of systems and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of large or ambiguous end-to-end initiatives across frontend and backend systems.
• Develop product experiences using TypeScript and React, along with APIs using Go or Python.
• Translate customer problems and product goals into technical designs and delivery plans.
• Own work from discovery and design through implementation, launch, measurement, and iteration.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, and engineering leaders to balance usability, performance, reliability, and security.
• Establish patterns and practices to improve consistency, maintainability, and developer experience.
• Improve observability and operational health across frontend and backend systems and participate in incident response.
• Influence architecture and technical direction through design docs and code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and help teammates grow their technical judgment and product instincts.
• Represent customer needs in cross-functional decisions and connect technical work to outcomes.
