Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, SW Eng, or related field.
• 5–7 years of professional software development with strong Java.
• Experience building highly available, secure customer-facing web apps focusing on usability.
• Experience designing secure customer-facing web apps, including authentication and data protection.
• Experience deploying cloud-native apps on AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS).
• Experience designing REST APIs and integrating with enterprise backends.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, OO design, microservices, CI/CD, testing, Agile.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior and mid-level engineers with technical guidance.
• Design, develop, and implement secure web applications with secure coding practices.
• Partner with security teams to identify risks and ensure compliance.
• Deliver intuitive, accessible, and responsive experiences for agents and customers.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and Java integrations with backend systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, PMs, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Create clear, concise technical designs for complex systems.
• Evaluate new technologies and frameworks aligned with the long-term vision.
• Stay current with emerging tech and participate in knowledge sharing.
• Ensure software quality through testing, automation, and quality control.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Support performance monitoring and optimization for reliable experiences.
