Job summary

Tier4 Group seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications across Java/Spring and .NET/ASP.NET stacks, migrating to cloud-native solutions with Node.js, Angular/React, and TypeScript in AWS.

The role combines hands-on coding with architectural input, API design, and mentoring, across CI/CD and secure development practices, with mostly remote work and one day per week in Everett, MA.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience modernizing legacy Java/Spring and .NET/ASP.NET applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software systems and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into functional code.
• Analyze and iterate during development to ensure efficiency, scalability, and clean code.
• Document development activities with clear and complete technical documentation.
• Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs, backend services, and modern web application interfaces.
• Assess and modernize legacy Java/Spring and .NET/ASP.NET applications using cloud-native technologies and modern architectural patterns.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and cloud infrastructure integration.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
• Ensure applications meet performance, security, reliability, and maintainability standards.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to development team members.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies to improve software quality and engineering productivity.
• Demonstrate familiarity with a variety of programming languages, depending on project needs (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, and others).
• Apply a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern software engineering practices.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills while working independently and within cross-functional teams.
