JPMorgan Chase in Chicago seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive design, development, and operation of distributed systems. You will own production-grade microservices with Java/Spring Boot, React front-ends with TypeScript, and event-driven data pipelines using Kafka.

Responsibilities include architectural leadership, secure coding, AI-assisted tooling adoption, and advanced CI/CD practices within an agile environment. Strong collaboration across teams is essential.

Competenze

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Building production microservices with Spring Boot and Java (21+), including Virtual Threads, Records, and Pattern Matching.
• Working with event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka (Producers, Consumers, Avro Serialization, Schema Registry).
• Building production React SPAs with TypeScript (complex forms, data grids, role-based access control), including Redux Toolkit.
• MongoDB in production environments (aggregation pipelines, change streams, indexing, sharding, performance tuning).
• Expertise in RESTful API Design (OpenAPI 3.0, SpringDoc, versioning) and microservices architecture (Event-Driven, CQRS, Saga Patterns).
• Proficiency in testing frameworks including JUnit 5, Spring Boot Test, and Playwright.
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to validate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
