Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join an agile team delivering trusted, scalable financial technology products.

You will design, develop, and optimize systems using Java, Spring Boot, and React, contributing to secure, production-grade code and data-driven insights. You will work with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-assisted development tools to enhance delivery speed and code quality, while aligning with security and resiliency expectations

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability.
• Proficient in coding in Java, Spring Boot, React, REST Services.
• Familiar with development tools such as Jenkins, Git, Jira, etc.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Involved in supporting production issues.
• Experience with modern Agile delivery practices (Scrum/Kanban), CI/CD, and DevOps-aligned development (automated quality gates, release pipelines).
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools with demonstrated ability to evaluate outputs.

Responsibilities

• Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java to contribute to continual improvements for product teams.
• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with appropriate systems.
• Produces architectures and design artifacts for applications while ensuring constraints are met by software development.
• Gathers, analyzes, and visualizes data from large datasets to improve software applications and systems.
• Identifies hidden problems in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and architecture.
• Contributes to engineering communities and adoption of new technologies.
• Supports team culture of diversity and inclusion.
• Uses AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and productivity, with peer review and secure coding standards.
