Avenue Code is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join a highly collaborative team building scalable digital experiences. You will contribute to frontend and backend development, mentor teammates, and help shape technical direction.

You will design, develop, and deploy customer-facing applications using Java or Kotlin on the backend and React on the frontend, with Rails in certain environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Professional experience with Ruby on Rails environments.
• Hands-on experience building applications with React and related ecosystem tools.
• Experience with Node.js and npm.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Git, TypeScript, IDEs, version control, and deployment tools.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and GraphQL.
• Strong database design fundamentals.
• Experience developing scalable and maintainable software in production environments.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, performant, and reliable full-stack software solutions.
• Build and enhance customer-facing applications that support key business initiatives.
• Contribute to technical architecture, system design, and engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-impact features.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Deploy production-ready code and contribute throughout the SDLC.
• Mentor engineers and participate in pair programming and knowledge sharing.
