Job summary

Kavaliro is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer, focused on Ruby on Rails and React, for a direct hire opportunity in Salt Lake City. You will drive end-to-end development of new features, enhancements, and defect resolution while collaborating with Product Management throughout the software lifecycle.

The role requires strong backend/frontend skills, cloud experience, and leadership potential to mentor peers. Salary is competitive and the team follows Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years software engineering experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions.
• 5+ years of Ruby on Rails development experience or 8+ years of Python development experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern JS frameworks such as React
• 4+ years of front end and back-end test automation development using RSpec, Cucumber or similar
• Technical leadership/management experience is a plus
• Demonstrated understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices
• Familiar with cloud-based technologies - K8S, AWS etc.
• Able to work in an Agile / Kanban methodology

Responsibilities

• Web application development in React as front end and Ruby on Rails as a backend.
• Strong grasp of system design, architecture, and trade-offs.
• Able to mentor junior engineers effectively.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical design.
• Active participation in daily stand-up meetings.
• Active participation in Peer Code Reviews as part of our standard SDLC and Change.
