Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Level Full Stack Engineer to drive modernization and scale modernized systems across on-prem and cloud platforms. You will build integrations, APIs, and data solutions leveraging Java, Spring Boot, Groovy, AWS, and MuleSoft to support Fortune 500 scale.

You’ll lead design and implementation, collaborate across teams, and mentor others while balancing performance and reliability in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend/web development with Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and API contracts.
• Experience with event-driven systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Cloud experience with AWS and containerized microservices.
• Experience with MuleSoft integration.
• Experience with MongoDB or enterprise databases.
• Ability to work remotely from the US/ Puerto Rico.

• Facilitate brainstorming sessions to generate innovative solutions, APIs, and data solutions.

• Continuously assess and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
• Contribute to development, testing, maintenance, and integration of applications/systems.
• Build unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or Spock.
• Collaborate with team members and external vendors; evaluate options and tradeoffs.
