Job summary

V-Soft Consulting Group is hiring a Senior Fullstack Developer for a remote role. The candidate will focus on modernizing large legacy systems supporting freight operations, detectors, and hub movements, while delivering new development and ongoing system improvements.

The role requires backend-heavy expertise in Java/Spring, Kafka, PostgreSQL, cloud experience (AWS preferred), Python in data workflows, and leadership for guiding junior developers through end-to-end delivery.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of full-stack development experience with backend focus.
• Deep Java and Spring Boot expertise.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Strong PostgreSQL or relational DB experience.
• Cloud experience, preferably AWS; Azure acceptable.
• Python for backend/data workflows.
• Experience modernizing legacy microservices.
• DevSecOps mindset with CI/CD and secure coding.
• Experience supporting both new builds and existing systems.
• Experience with IoT and high-volume data pipelines.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
• Ability to lead full-stack projects from design through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Support Mechanical/Hub and Terminal teams modernization of legacy systems.
• Modernize MQs, legacy microservices, IoT data ingestion, detector data, and 600+ rulesets.
• Handle 30M+ data points from detectors in high-volume distributed systems.
• Work on both new development and modernization of existing systems.
• Lead full-stack work from design through deployment and mentor juniors.
