Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Senior Developer to design, build, and enhance our external customer-facing web portal, delivering secure, scalable, and intuitive digital experiences for our customers.

You will work in a Hybrid Flex or Remote Flex arrangement from our Durham headquarters, collaborating with business partners, architects, and product teams to create reliable, high-performance applications and maintainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree; 5+ years of related field experience.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-availability web applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and development issues; promote code quality.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Participate in agile planning, estimation, and delivery commitments.
