Bluesight is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end applications on the Shared Services team. Expect to work with Python FastAPI, React, and Terraform, delivering end-to-end software with a focus on performance, security, and reliability across healthcare data products.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and collaborate across functions to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Competenze

Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/SE or equivalent
Strong fundamentals in software engineering practices (code reviews, version control, build, testing)
Experience with Terraform IaC to deploy work
Proficient in writing comprehensive tests (unit/integration/end-to-end)
Experience with RDBMS & NoSQL databases (DynamoDB)
Track record in product development translating requirements into scalable software
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Bluesight is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help us redefine and grow our suite of healthcare data products to further the company's mission of powering hospital and pharmacy operations. Our hospital and pharmacy customers rely on us to keep their patients safe and their pharmacies running smoothly while delighting them with every release. By streamlining their pharmacy's daily routines with our RFID inventory management solution and reducing risk and enhancing their compliance with our controlled substance tracking platform, we're committed to improving medication management for our nation's healthcare providers, and our data operations and products are the backbone of our offerings.

As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer on the Shared Services team at Bluesight, you will spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of both front-end and back-end applications. We are looking for someone with strong Python, AWS CodeBuild, EventBridge & Terraform experience.

You can expect to

Build web services using Python FastAPI.
Responsible for maintaining and enhancing front-end code developed in React.
Regularly deploy your work via Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to deployment and monitoring.
Ensure application performance, security, and scalability meet the highest standards.
Create comprehensive unit and integration tests to maintain code quality and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Lead code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and champion best practices. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and continuously enhance our technology stack.
Mentor junior engineers, foster a culture of learning, growth, and technical excellence.

Qualifications and Requirements

A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, etc.)
Experience in developing Terraform Infrastructure as Code to deploy your work.
Demonstrated expertise in writing comprehensive tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure code quality and reliability.
Strong understanding of RDBMS & NoSQL DB’s (DynamoDB)
Proven experience in product development, translating business requirements into scalable and user-centric software solutions.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams.
A proactive and self-driven attitude towards learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
A passion for leading by example, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence.

Nice to have

Experience integrating Electronic Health Record (EHR) data into enterprise software.
Experience with Auth0 SSO, FGA, or OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocols.
Build web services using Ruby on Rails
Experience with HL7 & FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards
