Outro Health is seeking a full-time Full-Stack TypeScript Engineer in New York to join as engineer #2, building software for patients tapering antidepressants, collaborating with Head of Product, spanning React Native apps, AI-driven operations, and TypeScript clinical tools.

You will work across web and mobile, model patient data, and contribute to a scalable platform for partnerships with top health systems and universities.

Qualifications

• 3 years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer with deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and Node.js (Next.js experience is a plus).
• Proven ability to ship products independently and turn ambiguous clinical workflows into clear software models, with a strong focus on data modeling and domain boundaries.
• Systems-minded builder who is excited about leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and has an interest in making complex healthcare systems intuitive for patients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale clinical products, including custom clinician tools and AI agents that assist in monitoring patient responses to medication changes.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of patient-facing features across web and React Native mobile platforms, from initial design through deployment and clinical iteration.
• Build robust integrations with insurance and data platforms to streamline billing and enable research partnerships with leading universities and health systems.
