Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help grow our healthcare data ecosystem and deliver scalable, customer-facing products. You’ll work across the stack, shaping architecture and mentoring teammates in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

You’ll collaborate with product and design to deliver robust frontend and backend systems using modern web technologies, cloud-native services, and data platforms, with significant ownership from day one.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production software systems.
• Experience building customer-facing applications using React and TypeScript.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code, perform thoughtful code reviews, and drive engineering best practices.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects from concept to production and successfully navigating complex technical challenges.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and design teams.
• Passion for mentoring other engineers and elevating the technical capabilities of the team.
• Excitement, passion, and curiosity about our mission of connecting the world's health data and improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications that power Datavant's healthcare data ecosystem.
• Deliver exceptional user experiences by partnering closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers.
• Develop scalable frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and data-driven solutions that support millions of healthcare records and transactions.
• Guide technical design decisions and help establish architecture patterns that enable long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Own substantial projects end-to-end, from technical design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing operation.
• Drive innovation and deliver valuable solutions that improve outcomes for healthcare organizations and patients.
• Share your expertise with the engineering community through technical discussions, mentorship, and contributions to our engineering blog.
