Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a driven, collaborative team building healthcare data solutions. You will contribute across the stack, mentor teammates, and influence technical direction for scalable backend systems and data platforms.

You’ll work with Python/Go/Java on the backend and TypeScript/React on the frontend, delivering customer-facing applications that connect health data and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, building, and operating production software systems.
• Strong full-stack experience with modern frontend and backend services.
• Experience building customer-facing apps using React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native apps.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code and conduct thoughtful reviews.
• Proven track record leading projects from concept to production.
• Strong collaboration and communication across engineering, product, and design.
• Mentoring others and elevating the team's technical capabilities.
• Excitement and curiosity about connecting health data and improving outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications powering Datavant's healthcare data ecosystem.
• Deliver exceptional user experiences with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Develop scalable frontend, backend, APIs, and data-driven solutions for millions of records.
• Guide architectural decisions and establish patterns for long-term scalability.
• Mentor engineers and foster technical excellence and ownership.
• Own substantial projects end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Drive innovation and deliver solutions benefiting healthcare organizations and patients.
• Share expertise through discussions, mentorship, and engineering blog contributions.
