Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to grow our healthcare data ecosystem and deliver innovative solutions that connect and activate health data across the industry.

You’ll design, build, and maintain full-stack applications spanning backend services and frontend experiences, with ownership from design through deployment. You’ll mentor teammates and help shape technical direction in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production software systems.
• Strong full-stack engineering experience, including modern frontend development and backend services.
• Experience building customer-facing applications using technologies such as React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
• Experience designing and developing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code, perform thoughtful code reviews, and drive engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications powering Datavant's healthcare data ecosystem
• Deliver exceptional user experiences by partnering closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers
• Develop scalable frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and data-driven solutions that support millions of healthcare records and transactions
• Guide technical design decisions and help establish architecture patterns that enable long-term scalability and maintainability
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning
• Own substantial projects end-to-end, from technical design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing operation
• Drive innovation and deliver valuable solutions that improve outcomes for healthcare organizations and patients
• Share your expertise with the engineering community through technical discussions, mentorship, and contributions to our engineering blog
