Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to serve as the technical anchor for a cross-functional engineering squad. You will shape architecture, mentor peers, and drive delivery across Java Spring Boot, React UI, and Python data pipelines in our healthcare data platform.

In an AI-accelerated SDLC, you’ll lead code reviews, guide backlog planning, and ensure secure, scalable solutions while collaborating with product, QA, and partner squads.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering cross-functional projects.
• Proven full-stack delivery with Java and a modern JavaScript framework, plus Python experience for data pipelines.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Act as the squad's technical anchor, owning design direction and safeguarding quality, security, and performance across its applications, services, and data pipelines.
• Design/Build and maintain Java Spring Boot apps, React UI apps and Python-based data-processing pipelines for timely data delivery.
• Lead code reviews and uphold coding best practices; complete complex feature development and bug fixes.
• Drive backlog refinement, technical estimation, and sprint/release readiness in an Agile environment.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for cross-team dependencies, integrations, and risk resolution.
• Champion AI-accelerated SDLC practices and mentor peers on effective use of AI tooling.
