Job summary

Pivotal Health is hiring a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join the Case Execution team. This role centers on backend development for eligibility, batching, submissions, and orchestration within a data-driven workflow platform.

You will tackle complex decision logic, collaborate with product and other engineers, and contribute to frontend/admin tooling as needed. The role suits someone who thrives in a startup, ownership-driven environment in healthcare tech.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fullstack software engineering experience with a backend focus.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience building data-heavy, workflow-oriented systems.
• Experience working on complex, data-driven decision logic or orchestration problems.
• Experience contributing to modern React-based applications.
• Comfortable operating in a collaborative, fast-moving startup environment where ownership and requirements evolve.
• Python experience; able to work effectively in a Python-based backend environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve core case execution systems: Own backend development across eligibility, batching, submissions, ops workflows, and claim orchestration.
• Tackle complex, data-driven backend problems: Work through the decision logic and data-heavy workflows that make eligibility and batching hard.
• Contribute to workflow orchestration: Build and improve the systems that coordinate how cases are staged, routed, and executed end to end.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Integrations, Case Strategy, and product teams to ensure systems are well-connected.
• Contribute to front-end and admin workflows: Principal focus on backend, with occasional UI/tools work.
