Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help grow our healthcare data ecosystem and deliver innovative solutions across frontend and backend, APIs, and data platforms. You’ll work across the stack to create intuitive user experiences and scalable systems while shaping technical direction and mentoring teammates.

You’ll begin meaningful work from day one with significant ownership and opportunities for growth, contributing to the health data community and advancing Dataavant’s mission

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, building, and operating production software systems.
• Strong full-stack experience with modern frontend and backend services.
• Experience building customer-facing apps using React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native apps.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and drive engineering best practices.
• Lead projects from concept to production with strong cross-functional collaboration.
• Mentor engineers and elevate team technical capabilities.
• Excitement and curiosity about connecting health data and improving outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications powering Datavant's data ecosystem.
• Deliver exceptional UX by partnering with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Develop scalable frontend, backend services, APIs, and data-driven solutions.
• Guide architectural decisions to enable long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence and ownership.
• Own substantial projects end-to-end from design through deployment and operation.
• Drive innovation and deliver value for healthcare organizations and patients.
• Share expertise via technical discussions and engineering blog contributions.
