Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (Golang & React) to lead the design and development of secure, scalable enterprise applications in the healthcare provider domain. You will collaborate with product management, QA, and operations to deliver reliable digital solutions.

You will design backend services in Golang, build responsive React interfaces, optimize PostgreSQL schemas, and drive CI/CD and testing. Strong security practices and troubleshooting experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Five to eight years of software development experience, including hands‑on experience with Golang.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and secure software development lifecycle principles.
• Experience designing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases and queries.
• Hands‑on experience developing responsive web applications using React.
• Experience integrating Golang backend services with PostgreSQL databases and React applications.
• Healthcare provider domain experience.
• Experience with code reviews, automated testing, troubleshooting, and application performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of secure, scalable backend services using Golang.
• Establish secure coding standards, conduct code and architecture reviews, and mentor developers on security and engineering best practices.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and data-access patterns for high-volume workloads.
• Guide the development and integration of responsive React applications with Golang services and PostgreSQL databases.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and operations to translate requirements into secure, high-performance solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive code quality and performance through automated testing, static analysis, profiling, and CI/CD.
• Document architecture decisions, service contracts, data models, and reusable secure coding patterns.
