Discord is seeking a senior fullstack engineer to expand game metadata and improve discovery on desktop and mobile. You will collaborate across engineering, design, product, and data science to ship engaging features that connect players and communities, especially around gaming.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a fullstack software engineer.
Experience with React/TS, Python or other modern programming languages.
Comfortable switching between different technical stacks and learning new ones.
Enjoy collaborating with product, design and other stakeholders.
Holistic approach to problem solving and learning from mistakes.
Experience leading projects, gathering requirements, mentoring others.
Track-record of shipping incremental features that improve the user experience.

Responsibilities

Engage with developers, game studios and other partners to find opportunities and address challenges towards providing a richer gaming experience.
Partner with internal teams to design, build, and maintain features that help users connect through gaming on our platform, across desktop and mobile.
Expand and safeguard our growing collection of games and game-related metadata.
Collaborate with Content, Marketing and ML teams to improve ranking and discovery systems for meaningful connections.
Work with Engineers, Designers, Product Owners, and Data Scientists to build engaging, trusted experiences and iterate on ideas.
