Job summary

Discord Inc. is seeking a senior full‑stack software engineer to help grow our gaming community. You will design and ship features across desktop and mobile that connect players, developers, and partners while keeping a delightful user experience.

You will collaborate with product, design, and data teams, lead projects, and mentor others. The role emphasizes ownership, first‑principles thinking, and delivering incremental improvements to our platform.

Qualifications

5+ years as a fullstack software engineer.
Experience with React/TS and Python or similar languages.
Comfort switching between tech stacks.
Strong collaboration with product, design and stakeholders.
Holistic, first-principles problem solving.
Experience leading projects and mentoring.
Track record of shipping incremental, delightful features.
Discord user; passion to improve the product.

Responsibilities

Engage with developers, game studios and partners to improve gaming experiences.
Collaborate with teams to design, build, and maintain features for connections among gamers.
Expand and safeguard our collection of games and metadata.
Work with Content, Marketing, and ML teams to improve ranking and discovery.
Partner with Engineers, Designers, Product Owners, and Data Scientists to iterate on ideas.
