Job summary

Discord is hiring a senior fullstack software engineer to join the Game Records team in San Francisco. You will partner with engineers, designers, product managers and data scientists to ship impactful features for gamers and the broader Discord community.

You should have 5+ years as a fullstack engineer, strong experience with React/TS and Python, and a proven track record leading projects. You’ll collaborate across teams, own delivery, and mentor others while shipping delightful, scalable

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a fullstack software engineer.
Experience with React/TS and Python or similar languages.
Comfort switching between tech stacks and learning new ones.
Strong collaboration with product, design and cross-functional peers.
Leadership, ownership and driving quality across projects.

Responsibilities

Engage with developers, game studios and partners to find opportunities and address challenges.
Design, build, and maintain features that help users connect through gaming on Discord.
Expand and safeguard game metadata to drive gaming features.
Collaborate with Content, Marketing and ML teams to improve ranking and discovery.
Work with Engineers, Designers, Product Owners and Data Scientists to iterate on ideas.
