Job summary

BlueWater Federal is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Full-Stack Developer to support the DOE EHSS AICS program. Hybrid role with potential support across multiple DOE sites in the DC metro area.

You will design and implement enterprise-scale web apps, APIs, and data processing pipelines using Java/.NET with Oracle and MS SQL Server. You will integrate secure authentication and Zero Trust controls, participate in CI/CD, and contribute to data analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 6 years experience may substitute.
• Minimum 7 years of software engineering as a full-stack developer for enterprise-scale apps.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Q clearance.
• Experience with complex coding, frameworks, APIs, web services, authentication.
• Experience with database architecture, performance, and problem resolution.
• Experience with automated testing, version control, cloud computing, Java and/or .NET.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale full-stack applications from approved requirements.
• Develop code, frameworks, web services, and APIs supporting transaction processing and data exchange.
• Develop Oracle and MS SQL Server solutions using Java, .NET; resolve DB, architecture, performance issues.
• Integrate authentication, RBAC, data security, Zero Trust, and cybersecurity controls.
• Create data models, database designs, queries, and ETL for BI/Analytics/ML/AI use cases.
• Develop tests, automate testing, support CI/CD, releases, and training.
