Job summary

BlueWater Federal is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Full-Stack Developer to support the DOE EHSS AICS program. Hybrid role with potential support across DC metro DOE sites.

You will design and implement enterprise-scale web apps using Java/.NET, SQL, and cloud services, ensuring security and Zero Trust controls. Qualifications include 7+ years in full-stack development, active TS clearance (Q clearance possible), and expertise with APIs, databases, and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 6+ years of related experience.
• 7+ years of full-stack enterprise web app experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Q clearance.
• Experience with complex coding, APIs, web services, authentication.
• Experience resolving database, architecture, and application-programming issues.
• Experience with automated testing, version control, change/release/configuration management, QA, cloud computing, Oracle, MS SQL, Java and/or .NET.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Solutions Architect - Professional preferred; OCP DBA or CIW Web Development Professional desired.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale, dynamic full-stack applications from approved requirements and specs.
• Develop complex code, frameworks, web services, and APIs for processing, reporting, integration, and data exchange.
• Develop Oracle and MS SQL Server solutions using Java, .NET, and related technologies; resolve DB, architecture, and coding issues.
• Integrate authentication, RBAC, data security, Section 508, Zero Trust, and cybersecurity controls.
• Create data models, database designs, queries, and ETL for BI, analytics, ML, and AI use cases.
• Develop tests, automate testing, remediate defects, support UAT, CI/CD, releases, O&M, documentation, and training.
