Job summary

8Fleet is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to own features across the entire tech stack, from databases and APIs to user interfaces. You will mentor peers and contribute to scalable, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced startup environment.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, collaboration with PMs and designers, and a focus on performance, security, and reliability across dashboards, internal tools, and logistics APIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Expert in backend languages and designing RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Strong frontend expertise with React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and SQL optimization.
• Cloud experience with AWS/GCP/Azure; containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy features across the full stack including dashboards and tools.
• Own the complete lifecycle of features from design to production.
• Write clean, well-tested code prioritizing performance and security.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to translate requirements into high-performance UIs.
