Job summary

CLEAR is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable identity platform features. You’ll own projects end‑to‑end, from technical discovery through deployment, collaborating with Product, Design, Security, and Operations in a fast‑moving environment.

The role emphasizes building production systems with Python, React and TypeScript, operating cloud-native apps on AWS, and mentoring teammates to raise engineering quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience building production applications with Python, React and TypeScript.
• Strong fundamentals across distributed systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure and modern software architecture.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native applications using AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven history of owning complex cross-functional projects from idea to production with a bias for action.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable in ambiguous environments, making thoughtful tradeoffs and driving work forward independently.
• Mentoring teammates and improving engineering practices to deliver measurable customer and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable full-stack applications powering CLEAR’s identity platform.
• Own projects end-to-end from discovery and architecture through implementation, rollout, and support.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, Security and Operations to translate business problems into scalable solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence by improving reliability, performance, testing, observability and developer experience.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and improve scalability, security and maintainability of the platform.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews, collaboration, and sharing best practices.
