Job summary

Sophia Learning is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and support mission-critical applications powering the Sophia platform. You will own technical decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable solutions.

You will help drive an agentic software development lifecycle using AI coding tools while ensuring high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of web application design, development, and delivery experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack development across modern web technologies.
• 2+ years experience with AWS or GCP infrastructure.
• Experience with TDD and automated solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver full-stack features across web apps.
• Own features from technical direction through delivery and production health.
• Set scalable patterns and best practices through trade-off evaluation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, QA, and engineering teams.
• Promote Agile practices, including TDD, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Provide Level 3 production support and mentor other engineers.
