Job summary

Master Tour is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help deliver the next generation of our platform. You will own features end to end across API, data model, and client implementations, with a focus on modernizing and opening the platform through our Partnerships API.

The role offers autonomy, working across desktop, mobile, and web clients, and involves leadership in design discussions and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent).
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript across server and client code.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and the services behind them.
• Experience with a modern front-end framework (React preferred) and a component-driven codebase.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling.
• Experience with server-side PHP (Laravel or similar).
• Experience working in Git-based workflows (Bitbucket) and participating in structured code reviews.
• Demonstrated ownership of features from design through production support.
• Comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-quality features end to end — data model, API surface, business logic, and client implementation.
• Build on our orchestration layer and Partnerships API, establishing patterns and standards for integration work.
• Lead technical design discussions for new initiatives and contribute to architectural direction.
• Own complex projects from concept through delivery, including the migration path off legacy services.
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure high standards of quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, SDET, and other engineers to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Improve application reliability, performance, and scalability across server and client platforms.
• Mentor and support other engineers through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to defining engineering best practices, tooling, and processes.
