Job summary

Amplify is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a team buildingsoftware that lands in classrooms with real students and teachers. You will work across the stack, primarily in React and TypeScript on the front end, with Node.js and AWS underneath, delivering reliable, scalable software for schools.

You will own what you ship, review code, mentor teammates, and help improve the overall codebase.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree or training with 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Strong understanding of good software design principles and modern engineering practices.
• Frontend: 5+ years with React to build production-grade user experiences.
• Backend & Systems: 5+ years with modern backend web technologies, including Node.js, and scalable service design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Genuine passion for education products and building equitable, accessible tools for all learners.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and ship code across the stack (React/TypeScript frontend; Node.js backend).
• Own what you ship, including production monitoring, debugging, and incident response.
• Refactor and improve the codebase for clarity and maintainability.
• Mentor teammates and participate in code reviews to raise team performance.
• Leverage AI thoughtfully to boost productivity while preserving engineering judgment.
• Collaborate with product, design, and education experts to translate complex requirements into usable software.
