HireHi is seeking an experienced software engineer in the United States to design, implement, and maintain scalable solutions using JavaScript and TypeScript. The role emphasizes Node.js backend and modern frontend with React, plus MongoDB and cutting-edge AI coding tools.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of TypeScript experience.
• 2+ years of React experience.
• Experience with Node.js server-side development.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Experience with AI coding technologies (LLMs, Context Protocol, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Strong problem-solving ability and ability to work in large codebases.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance solutions using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Lead technical decisions in Node.js backend development and React frontend frameworks.
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues across complex systems.
• Participate in and drive code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical improvements.
• Improve system observability, monitoring, logging, and error handling.
• Ensure high code quality through testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices.
