Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our K-12 School Technology group, focusing on development, testing, and deployment of cutting-edge assessment platforms. You will contribute to design, implementation, and quality improvements in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates bring AWS experience, strong software engineering fundamentals, and familiarity with AI tools and LLMs.

Qualifications

Bachelor or higher in CS, MIS, or related field.
Experience with development, maintenance, and testing of software following best practices.
Experience with highly available, highly concurrent web-based applications.
Experience working in an agile environment.
Familiarity with cloud AWS hosted applications.
Experience with GIT or similar VCS tools.
Experience with a range of AI tools and LLMs.

Responsibilities

Analyze & Design: create models from requirements and design artifacts.
Implement & Perform: follow coding standards and best practices.
Review: participate in requirements, design and code reviews.
Test & Deployment: coordinate with QA and end users to release high quality software and write tests.
Quality/process improvement: participate in initiatives to improve process and product quality.
