Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, implement, and test cutting-edge assessment platforms for a fast-paced, startup-like team. You will ensure high-quality code for mission-critical applications and participate in reviews and deployment activities.

The role emphasizes collaboration, learning across languages/tools, and delivering scalable, secure cloud-hosted solutions using AWS within an enterprise educational technology context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline.
• Experience with development, maintenance, and testing of software following industry best practices.
• Experience with highly available, highly concurrent web-based applications.
• Experience with GIT or similar VCS tools.
• Experience in an Agile environment.
• Experience with a range of AI tools and LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze & design to model customer requirements and create design models.
• Implement designs following Pearson standards and best practices.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with QA, configuration management, and end users to release high-quality software; write and execute unit tests.
• Engage in group improvement activities to enhance process and product quality.
