Job summary

Auction in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design and deliver features across our real estate marketplace platform. You will work in React and TypeScript on the frontend, with Node, Kotlin, and GraphQL services behind it, running on AWS and Kubernetes.

You will own complex features end to end—from design through production—mentoring others and helping elevate technical standards across teams. AI-enabled features are encouraged where appropriate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building backend services with Node.js, Kotlin/Java, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing and working with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or a comparable cloud platform.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong automated testing practices across unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL data stores.
• Experience designing or contributing to scalable, distributed production systems.
• Strong judgment around performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Ability to independently own complex technical work from design through production.
• Experience mentoring engineers, contributing to code/design reviews, and helping improve engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver customer-facing features and the services that power them.
• Own complex features and technical solutions end to end—from design to production support.
• Lead design discussions, code reviews, and mentorship to raise engineering bar.
• Collaborate with product, UX, data, and other engineers on architecture decisions.
