Job summary

Pacific Life Insurance invites a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Journey team in Newport Beach, CA. You will build cutting-edge web solutions enhancing the Customer Journey, in a 5-person CMD division. Relocation assistance may be provided.

You will work on end-to-end feature development, collaborate across teams, and optimize performance and security while applying modern frameworks (Angular/React/TypeScript) with Java/Node.js and AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field in CS/Engineering.
• 5+ years of software development with at least 2 years as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Experience building web apps using modern frameworks/libraries (Angular/React/TypeScript).
• Strong server-side skills in Java and Node.js.
• Extensive AWS Cloud and serverless experience.
• Microservices, RESTful/API design (GraphQL).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• DevSecOps practices with CI/CD and Azure DevOps or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving and quick adaptation to new tech.
• Effective communication and collaboration in a team.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end solutions per enterprise guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver quality software.
• Own end-to-end feature development from concept to deployment.
• Identify and address performance, security, and stability issues.
• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
