Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our K-12 School Technology group in Boston. You will design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge assessment platforms, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software and score results.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, ensure code quality, and participate in reviews, testing, and deployment. A strong focus on performance, security, and scalable web applications is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline.
Experience with development, maintenance, and testing of software following industry best practices.
Experience with highly available, highly concurrent web-based applications.
Experience with Cloud AWS hosted applications.

Responsibilities

Analyze & Design: create design models from requirements.
Implement & Perform: follow Pearson coding standards and best practices.
Review: participate in requirements, design and code reviews.
Test & Deployment: release high quality software with QA, config management, and end users.
Quality/process improvement: participate in group improvement activities to improve process and product quality.
