Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, implement and test high-quality software across multiple cutting-edge assessment technology platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, startup-like environment to deliver mission-critical applications.

The role emphasizes analysis, design, code reviews, and rigorous testing, with responsibilities spanning deployment and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline.
• Experience with development, maintenance, and testing of software following industry best practices.
• Experience with highly available, highly concurrent web-based applications.
• Experience with GIT or similar VCS tools.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline.
• Experience working with a range of AI tools and LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze & Design – model customer requirements and create design artifacts.
• Implement & Perform – follow Pearson coding standards and best practices.
• Review – participate in requirements, design and code reviews.
• Test & Deployment – work with QA and end users to release high quality software; write unit tests.
• Quality/process improvement – participate in group initiatives to improve quality.
